Brian Head, Utah

We had this trip planned even before I was preggo, I wasn't going to deprive my boys of a weekend on the slopes! There was great weather and it was neat to check out another resort town about the same distance away as our beloved Big Bear.

Jake in Ski School for the first time!
Jake's favorite part, the chair lift!

and shopping for a new hat! No, we did not buy the $30 hat, photo was enough!

An afternoon with friends..

We were invited to hang out with our friends the Oppenheims and take advantage of their free 3 hour play card at ESPN Zone! Woohoo! Amazingly we all managed to share the ONE card (Dads too!) and had the greatest time!

I wondered why they played this forever, the seats vibrate!!

The End

The Name Game

We had a great time with family and friends this weekend and tonight we ended our weekend with a great family dinner, just the three of us! We started talking about names for the baby and found ourselves almost choking, we were laughing so hard! Here's the list.....yeah some sounded way better when said with our last name!
  • Jakob (totally different names, said Jake)
  • Jack Johnson
  • Jango Fett Johnson
  • Edward Griffin
  • Logan B.
  • Edward Captain Jack Sparrow Johnson
  • Annekin Chewbacca Johnson
  • Fajita Joe Johnson
  • Edward Cullen Johnson
  • Lime Juice Johnson
  • Peter Pan Johnson

You would be surprised how many were Jacob's suggestions! Or maybe not soooo surprised!

It's a Boy!

Finally! My ultrasound day! Confirmed that it is ONE baby and not EIGHT, two arms, two legs and a penis! I'm as happy as can be! Jacob is excited to be a big brother, but still figuring out what it means....for example: His old baby toys are being passed down, but what about the Star Wars Legos he got for Christmas? Does he have to give them up? Jacob also is obsessed with the fact that the baby will drool all over his room and toys and reminds me that he will want to close the door a lot!

''Oh What a Night!''

Jake was invited to a sleepover last night so hubby and I celebrated V-day date night a week early. Dinner at Red 8 (Wynn) was delicious! Pot stickers, barbecue steamed pork buns, and Kung Pao Chicken! Yummy! We also had tickets to see 'Jersey Boys'. Great show! We paid for cheap seats BUT got moved up a section! Woohoo! I will have the songs of The Four Seasons in my head for at least a week!

My friend Kristina

I worked at Carino's for 1 year, to the day! We all lost our jobs, unexpectedly, and the restaurant closed for good. My buddy Kristina had just moved from California, and this past Monday that's where she had to move back. I wanted to write a short blog (to embarrass her of course!) about the things I'll miss about her.....

  • Moscado chair time! No matter how cold or how bad we were at lighting the fire!
  • My dog loves you more than me!
  • Your pig tails
  • The horrible mood you are in EVERY Sunday morning!
  • Sharing my Panini's with you in movie theaters
  • Drinking Moscado (ok, maybe that's in general and not only specific to you!)
  • Calico Jacks!
  • Our dinners at Carraba's
  • Drunk Uno!
  • Running in heels to a concert, well I won't miss that too much!
  • Seeing you in your fluffy sleeves at work
  • Watching you fight with Jackson
I'm gonna keep it short, I know I can call you all the time and we will text like champions, BUT I'm going to miss you dearly! Play the lotto for me so you can fly me in every weekend!

Sushi Night!

For dinner tonight I made my own sushi! From start to finish it was 2 hours ( 1 hour of that was waiting for rice to drain, then for it to cook, and then again for it to cool off). My variation on the California roll had cucumber, red bell pepper, imitation crab, spicy mayo, and avocado. Served with some edamame and a bowl of rice it was better than any restaurant I would have had to get dressed up for!
