Let me get you all caught up....

I haven't posted since March! Eeek! Since March! There are too many pictures too share, stories to tell, and moments to relive! So I need to make a list. A list to remind me of what I have done and what you have no doubt already heard about because we live in a world with Facebook! Facebook is messin' with my blog. Sad but true. So here is what I would've blogged about:

My garden, green beans died. Tomatoes are going strong. Everything is in the ground that is going to be there, and I have also recently added 12 Marigolds to help with insect control and bring a little color to the yard. We had our first harvest of lettuce. Looking forward to many salads and turkey sandwiches.

My birds. I have a family of birds that comes to visit everyday, and stays all day. I had to upgrade my bird feeder to support their appetites but it was a well worth investment. I never thought that living in Las Vegas, the desert, I could enjoy the sound of little birds singing to me from the kitchen window. It's an incredible mood adjuster, because how do you stay irritated when birds are humming a little tune? Yes, obviously Cinderella and Snow White were my favorite princesses.

Park days. I am on a really fun rotation of parks every Tuesday and Thursday. I meet up with different moms on different days and enjoy the sun and commit to getting my two toddlers tired! The little girl I watch is starting to come out of her shell nicely, beginning to socialize with the other moms and kids. I still can't quite get her to love on Charlie though! They have a standard sibling rivalry that keeps 4pm from never quite coming soon enough!

April was a month for Scouting! Jacob was all over the place earning badges and belt loops. He will be receiving his Wolf rank this month and I couldn't be a prouder or more tired scout mama!

I also turned....30 in April! Woohoo! I have been looking forward to this day for years! There is something so settled and comfortable about 30. To me anyway, I am sure others would love to argue! My life is that of someone in her 30's. I have two kids, a husband, a home, and even belong to a book club. Yeah, I am ready for 30! I celebrated with some of my best friends with so much laughter and love that I couldn't for a second complain about any new wrinkles! Life is good for me.

Along with turning 30 I decided to get my first tattoo! Each year that I waited to get one made it harder to commit and decide what I would permanently mark my body with. I chose this beautiful sketch of a phoenix. I learned about said phoenix in the Harry Potter books and was really drawn to their ability to rise from the ashes. A little dramatic I know, but I felt it appropriate and the curves of the sketch suited my ankle nicely. My husband keeps joking about when I will 'wash' it off....haha!

We finished April with friends on Easter, making the most of our new tradition to skip church and enjoy a ham! This year was a brunch theme. A delicious spinach quiche, the traditional ham, sweet fruit, Tiff's banana bread, and our Quail Hollow Farms asparagus. My good friend Veronica surprised me with a belated birthday cake, organic and gorgeous! Charlie was old enough to hunt for eggs and grabbed hold of 3 and was satisfied!

I will hold off on the month of May until next post. Mother's Day and Wolf Rank to be exact.
